Nurturing our own development
Just like science isn't a process of coming to a final answer that negates any future research, we don't reach some final state that absolves us of working on ourselves. Becoming a better version of ourselves requires that we enter into an honest iterative process of self-evaluation. This requires humility, a willingness to be wrong, a strong sense of empathy, and an ability to listen and promote voices other than our own. Our lab is a place for academic as well as personal growth and I remain committed to both. Mistakes will be made. They are a great opportunity for growth!
